BROKEN ARROW v2 – MIDI Overdrive & Boost Pedal – Jackson Audio


The BROKEN ARROW v2 represents a modern, modular approach to overdrive design, combining multiple gain structures, studio-grade EQ, and MIDI control into a single, performance-focused platform. Built for players who require flexibility without compromising tone, it merges classic overdrive behaviour with contemporary switching and preset recall.

At its core, the BROKEN ARROW is a soft-clipping overdrive inspired by traditional TS-style circuits, but without a fixed mid-hump. Instead, it relies on an active 3-band EQ to shape the signal precisely. Four selectable clipping diode presets, level-matched internally, allow meaningful tonal changes without volume jumps. The unique GAIN CYCLE feature enables stepped gain increases on the fly, making dynamic live transitions possible without touching the controls.


Complementing the drive section is an independent MOSFET boost circuit, derived from the PRISM Preamp. With four boost voicings and true bypass operation, it can be used either to push the overdrive or as a standalone clean boost. Full MIDI implementation allows remote control of drive, boost, clipping modes, gain stages, and boost EQ, making the pedal suitable for advanced pedalboards and MIDI-based rigs.
