Twin Trem – Dual Analog Tremolo Pedal – Jackson Audio

The Twin Trem is a fully-analogue tremolo pedal designed to combine two classic modulation circuits into a single, flexible platform. By integrating harmonic and optical tremolo designs, it offers a wide range of rhythmic textures while maintaining a purely analogue signal path suitable for studio, rehearsal, and stage use.

The pedal is engineered to support both traditional pedalboard layouts and more advanced signal-routing configurations, allowing musicians to explore tremolo placement and its interaction with other effects in a controlled, repeatable way.

Dual Tremolo Architecture

The Twin Trem features two independent tremolo circuits, each with its own sonic character:

The Harmonic Tremolo circuit delivers a rich, phase-shifted modulation inspired by classic amplifier-based designs. Its voicing produces a swirling, dimensional movement that interacts dynamically with the guitar signal.

The Optical Tremolo circuit offers a smoother, more traditional tremolo response, producing consistent amplitude modulation suitable for vintage-style pulses and steady rhythmic patterns.

Each circuit includes independent Speed, Depth, and Volume controls, enabling precise adjustment of modulation rate, intensity, and output level. The two tremolos can be used individually or combined to create layered, percussive modulation textures.

Visual Tempo Feedback and Control

Both tremolo sections feature LED indicators that visually represent modulation speed. This design allows quick visual alignment of both tremolos when used together and simplifies tempo matching during live performance or studio sessions.

The colour-coded layout helps distinguish between the two modulation types and clarifies their interaction when combined.

Routing and Signal Integration

The Twin Trem is equipped with four top-mounted jacks, supporting multiple routing configurations. It can be used as a standard single-input, single-output pedal or configured to separate the two tremolo circuits within a signal chain.

This architecture allows placement of other effects—such as reverb—between the harmonic and optical tremolos, preserving traditional signal-order conventions while enabling more complex modulation setups.

The pedal also supports stereo operation, with each tremolo circuit routed independently for expanded spatial modulation in stereo rigs.
